Feeling sluggish, tighter or more tired lately?

Have you noticed your body feeling a little tighter lately? Maybe in your shoulders… your neck… or even just a general sense of feeling a bit stuck or restless. I've been feeling it. Also sluggish and more tired.

Our bodies are shifting out of the winter mode and into spring. Think of a bear coming out of hibernation...she moves slow until she has nourished herself properly and got her body moving. We're like that bear. We are connected to the shifts of the seasons, whether we are aware of it or not.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, spring is all about getting things moving in a gentle way.

Energy that’s been stored over the winter begins to rise, and your body starts trying to circulate and clear it.

But if that movement gets blocked, you feel it as:

  • tension,
  • irritation,
  • restlessness,
  • sluggishness,
  • or that subtle sense of being “off”

The organs we support and focus on in the spring are the liver and gall bladder. What these organs need...movement + flow + proper nourishment to support their job = detoxification.

I recorded a short video for you where I guide you through:

  • A gentle qigong movement to help get energy flowing
  • A meridian point you can tap to support the liver

You don’t need a full routine. Simply taking a few minutes each day can help your body shift out of that stuck feeling.

This is actually how I approach "detox" differently. Not as something you force, but a gentle way to get the liver/gall bladder qi (energy) to move again. It’s exactly what we focus on inside The Alignment Reset: Spring = supporting your body through food, movement, and awareness so it can do what it’s already trying to do this time of year.

If your body has been asking for something different lately, it's your body following the natural cycle of the seasons. This is your invitation to join me for this spring reset where we will nourish and support the liver and gall bladder and all that goes along with them. We start April 7th. You can learn more about the reset here. You can also email me if you have any questions.
